Campeche Island is one of the most breathtaking natural treasures of Florianópolis, located just a short boat ride off the south coast of Santa Catarina Island. With crystal-clear turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and lush Atlantic Forest, it consistently ranks among the most beautiful islands in all of Brazil.
The only way to reach Campeche Island is by boat. Departures leave from Campeche Beach and Barra da Lagoa, with the crossing taking approximately 15–20 minutes. Boats run daily between October and March (peak season), and on weekends during the rest of the year, weather permitting.
The island offers snorkeling in its protected marine reserve, where visibility can reach up to 15 meters. Hiking trails wind through the native forest to viewpoints overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Ancient rock engravings left by the Tupi people add a fascinating cultural dimension to this natural paradise.
The ideal period to visit is November through March, when the weather is warm, the sea is calm, and the water temperature reaches 24–26°C. Explore our handpicked boat tours to Campeche Island — from snorkeling adventures to scenic cruises combining the island with Lagoa da Conceição.
